Presentation of the Major-General John Arthur Stewart Trophy 2016

It was a beautiful, sunny day on Friday, 20 May 2016 as many senior engineers were on hand at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC) Commissioning Parade to present the prestigious Major-General John Arthur Stewart Trophy. This trophy is awarded to the top military engineer cadet in his or her graduating year whose occupation classification is Engineer (MOC 24 / MOSID 00181) or Construction Engineer (MOC 46 / MOSID 00189).

11 Field Squadron Participates in Ex FORLORN HOPE and SPARTAN FORGE

It has been a busy October for 11 Field Squadron of 1 CER. The squadron left the comfort of their regiment and tackled two exercises simultaneously at CFB Wainwright between the 13th to the 28th of October 2015. One being a regimental exercise, Ex FORLORN HOPE, and the other attached to 3 PPCLI for Ex SPARTAN FORGE.

11e Escadron de campagne Ex BADAJOZ II

On an uncharacteristically clear and sunny September afternoon, 11 Field Squadron of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment departed for CFB Wainwright to begin Exercise BADAJOZ II. Training was focused on section level live-fire ranges and troop level offensive and defensive operations. Months of training put both 1 and 2 Troop in good position to take on the role of a light engineer in a tactical setting.
