With a military exercise coming for 2CMBG (Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group), 2CER (Combat Engineer Regiment) HET (Heavy Equipment Troop) is looked towards to support Regimental Exercise STORMING SAPPER and Brigade Exercise STORMING BEAR. During the exercises, HET has been tasked with the expansion of the compound and support to the Field Squadrons. 2 CER HET is capable of overcoming any challenges that 2 CMBG sends our way.
14 Construction Engineering Squadron (CES) attended Deployment for Training (DFT) in Fort Indiantown Gap, PA (FTIG) on 12-26 May, 2016. The squadron sent equal representation from each of its four CE Reserve flights - 91 CEF Gander, 143 CEF Lunenburg, 144 CEF Pictou, 192 CEF Aldergrove – to conduct training at FTIG. A total of 30 members from 14 CES attended the DFT.

During two weeks in September 2016, members of 38 Combat Engineer Regiment (CER) constructed a Pedestrian Suspension Bridge across the Moose Jaw River completing the Trans Canada Trail through Saskatchewan.
The Chief of Military Personnel recently announced the following promotions, appointments and retirements for colonels and RCN captains. He wished deepest appreciation for the service and sacrifices of those moving on to retirement, and offered heartfelt congratulations and sincerest best wishes to those taking on new appointments and new responsibilities.(CANFORGEN 042/17)
