WO Gratrix, 39 CER Awarded MMM
Founded on July 1, 1972, the Order of Military Merit recognizes distinctive merit and exceptional service displayed by the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, both Regular and Reserve. Many have demonstrated dedication and devotion beyond the call of duty, and the Order honours them for their commitment to Canada. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Order’s Sovereign, the governor general is its Chancellor and a Commander, and the chief of the Defence Staff is its Principal Commander.
Two Engineers receive the CAF Sports Award from the CDS and CFMWS
This year, five people received the Dedication to CAF Sports Award from the CDS. Two of the five recipients are fellow engineers; Maj Michael Mueller for Running and WO Clint Killam for Basketball. The Dedication to CAF Sports Award is presented annually for the outstanding contributions of a group or an individual who have gone above and beyond to promote and develop CAF sports. Maj Mueller and WO Killam dedicated significant time and effort throughout their military careers to earn this prestigious award.
Isabella Poston Receives a 2020 CMEA Memorial Bursary
Recently, the President of the CMEA received a note from Isabella Poston, the recipient of the Sgt C.M. Ralph Memorial Bursary. Isabella is studying at the University College of London (UK) where there is a COVID-19 lockdown. She wrote:

CMEA Memorial Bursaries 2020 Winners
This year is the first time each award has been given in memory of a prominent member of the Canadian Military Engineer family. The personalities selected represent the rich range of history and accomplishments the Engineers have contributed to our nation. Each recipient will receive a special memorial scroll in their name. The tradition has begun and all future bursary awards will be so named. Congratulations to all our winners.
