2024 marks the 121st birthday of the Canadian Military Engineers. The CMEA National Executive welcomes all our Chapters to share with us their plans to celebrate so that we can advertise them on our website and News Brief. Sapeur Camember was born on 29 February. He is a character in a comic book created in France by Georges Columb in 1896 and had only four birthdays over his career in the French Army.

The current CMEA website was launched on 19 January 2014, ten years to the day of writing. Since that time it has grown from 500 pages to over 8500 pages of current news, events, historical entries and other items of interest. In addition to thousands of visits from Canadian users, it receives dozens from other parts of the world.
