25 March 2019: To mark the 75^th anniversary of some of the most momentous battles in history, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) has recorded the voices of the “greatest generation” to build a unique online sound archive to explains why the Commission’s war graves, cemeteries and memorials are as poignant today as when they were first built 75 years ago.

On 22 February 1919, the Royal Army Chaplains' Department will celebrate 100 years from the time King George V bestowed the prefix 'Royal' to their name in recognition of its outstanding service and sacrifice during the First World War. His granddaughter, Her Majesty The Queen, will attend a special service of commemoration with the entire Army chaplaincy community, to mark this auspicious anniversary.

This summer, the Canadian Research and Mapping Association (CRMA) will launch a massive initiative to help commemorate the 75^th Anniversary of the Battle of Normandy. The CMEA received the letter below along with some sample images from their work.  One of the most important aspects of their effort is telling the too often overlooked Sapper story.

We have been advised by Veterans Affairs Canada of their early plans to mark the upcoming 75^th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, the Government of Canada is planning both in Canada and overseas events in June 2019.

The Edmonton Chapter of the CMEA has presented three bursaries; Pictured here from top to bottom:

• Capt Kevin Elmer from RP Ops Unit West Wainwright presents a bursary cheque to CMEA member WO Raymond Gendron(Ret'd)  on behalf of his son Antoine Gendron who was unable to be present.
• Capt Kevin Elmer presenting a bursary cheque to Matthew Burgess, son of CMEA member Maj Peter Burgess (Ret'd).

On 12 December 2018, Captain Jobin was presented with the Commander Canadian Army Commendation. The citation reads as follows:

While we have not yet received advice on the composition of any Official Party for the 75^th Anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy at Juno Beach on 6 June 2019, anyone considering attending these activities in France should be aware that they must register online with Veterans Affairs Canada.
