We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Allen Taylor Carty (Ret’d) of Salisbury NB on Saturday, 11 November 2023 at his residence in Moncton NB.
Allen enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 2011 and proudly served as a Combat Engineer in the Canadian Military Engineers for 11 years. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist, he trained throughout Canada and the United States. Allen served two tours to Afghanistan: June-September 2007 and September 2008 – May 2009 with the Expedient Route Opening Capability (EROC) crew from 4 Engineer Support Regiment from Gagetown NB.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home {3350 Route 106 (506)372-4800 } with visiting on Wednesday, 15 November from 5 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a service in the chapel at 7:00 pm. At the request of his children, Allen will be resting traditionally at his family home at 185 Bear Drive, Fredericton NB on Thursday, 16 November 2023 at 1:00 pm through to Saturday, 18 November 2023. A service will take place at the Maqiyahtimok Center, 247 Maliseet Drive, beginning at 2:00 pm. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at the family home. If desired, donations in memory of Allen to a Local Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be sent to the funeral home.
