We regret to advise of the death of Corporal George Makar Podtepa of Edmonton, AB on 10 November 2015, at the age of 44 years. Corporal George Podtepa was born in Dryden, ON.

We regret to advise of the death of Lieutenant Colonel Melvin Ronald Hunt, CD (Ret'd) at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria BC on 17 November 2015 at age 73 after a long battle with kidney disease.

We regret to advise of the death of Lieutenant Colonel R.W. Shurb, CD (Ret’d) on 19 November 2015 at the age of 79, after a courageous battle. Ron served a full career with the Canadian Military Engineers.

We regret to advise of the death of Master Warrant Officer William Robert "Bob" Hannah, CD (Retd') of Vernon, BC on 20 November 2015. Born in Manitoba in 1927 and raised in Saskatchewan, he enlisted in the Army at the young age of 16.

We regret to advise that Corporal Christopher Stacey, a firefighter at 19 Wing Comox, died on 26 March 2016 at the age of 29 as the result of an automobile accident.

We regret to advise of the death of Warrant Officer Anthony ”Tony”  Philip Lee, CD (Ret’d) on 12 April 2016 at the age of 63 after a lengthy illness.

We regret to advise of the death of Kenneth Vaux Seymour of Fleming Island, FL on 7 April 2016 in his 95^th year. Ken served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in WWII as a plumber/steamfitter.

We regret to advise of the death of  Chief Warrant Officer Richard Stephen “Rick”  Goldsworthy, CD (Ret’d) on 7 April 2016 in Calgary, AB at the age of 73 years.

We regret to advise of the death of Lieutenant-Colonel J. Philip “Phil” Vaughan, peacefully at his home in Halifax, NS on 8 April 2016 at the age of 92. Phil was a President of the Military Engineers Association of Canada 1963-64.
