As a result of a Treasury Board directive taking effect 1 January 2016, pay allotments of $2.00 and less are no longer being processed. The CMEA and others were only notified after the directive was implemented and are no longer receiving members’ monthly dues. This means members’ dues paid by the pay allotment system are no longer being deducted from their pay.
As a way to work around this situation and ensure our members can continue to use the very convenient pay allotment process and remain in good standing, the CMEA National Executive is asking all pay allotment members to increase their monthly allotment by one cent to $2.01. This will require a visit to your pay office or orderly room as soon as possible to restart your CMEA pay allotment. The pay allotment code is Y012 and it should be set up to take effect as of 1 January 2016. Your quick response is appreciated.
