Sgt Thomas Harold Murphy (Ret'd)

We regret to advise of the death of Sergeant Thomas "Harold" Murphy of Waasis, NB, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on 1 March 2015 at the age of 90. Born in Halifax,

Harold was a Royal Canadian Engineer veteran of the Second World War who also served in Korea, with the United Nations Emergency Force in Egypt, and with the Field Squadron in Germany from 1963 to 1966. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 in Oromocto, NB.

Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 March 2015 from 2:30 – 4:00 pm & 6:30 – 8:00 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 93 will hold a tribute service at 6:30 pm. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, 6 March at 2:00. Interment will be in Oromocto Pioneer Gardens in the spring. For those who wish, donations in memory of Harold can be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
