MCpl William Elmer “Bill” Cole, CD (Ret’d)

We regret to advise of the death of Firefighter Master Corporal William Elmer “Bill” Cole, CD (Ret’d), a resident of  Casa Loma in Comox BC on 16 July 2025 at age 80.

Bill was was born in London ON and served a career as a Firefighter with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He served in Canadian Forces Base Borden and in Lahr Germany but put down roots in the Comox Valley when he returned to Canada.

Bill retired from the Canadian Forces around 1986 and worked for Superior Propane for a while before trading the propane truck for a school bus and drove that for many enjoyable years. Bill and his wife spent their retirement enjoying curling, camping, travelling in their motorhome and going on cruises. Declining health resulted in his moving into Casa Loma in 2022.
