We regret to advise of the death of Gordon Nelson Cossey peacefully in the Delta BC Hospital on 16 January 2003 at the age of 85.
Gordon was born in Keewatin, ON and learned carpentry from his father. He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers in Italy and Holland. After demobilization he returned to Ontario before re-locating his family to British Columbia. In 1952 he rejoined the Engineers and served at various bases in Canada and Germany until 1966 when he retired from the army and moved to Calgary to join the Federal Department of Supply and Services. Shortly thereafter he changed employment joining the Federal Department of Health and Welfare becoming Property Manager of Northern Region Medical Services. He then moved to Pacific Region (Vancouver BC) in the same capacity until retiring in 1983.
A Celebration of Gordon's life will be held on 22 January at the Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, Ladner, BC. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army or the Delta Hospital Foundation. {gdSep2016kh}
