On 14 July 2025, the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering (CFSME) held a Change of Command Ceremony presided by Col Barbara Honig, Comd CTC and outgoing Director Royal Canadian Engineers (RCE). This was the first time the Reviewing Officer, outgoing and incoming Commandants were all women in the Combat Arms, all three being engineer officers.
We welcomed LCol Heather Reibin as the incoming commandant and new deputy director (D/Dir) Royal Canadian Engineers (RCE) and we honored the departure of Cindy Legarie.
A special thank you to LCol Legarie for her dedicated leadership both at the school and for her work as D/Dir RCE, to Col Honig for her leadership as CTC Comd and Dir RCE and for Chief Military Engineer MGen Pilon for attending.
