Jennifer Stoddart (chevalière) Dès 1982, avec sa solide formation d’historienne, Jennifer Stoddart s’est démarquée en publiant, au sein du collectif Clio, le livre L’histoire des femmes au Québec depuis quatre siècles. Dans la décennie 2000, elle a su bien recadrer le droit au respect de la vie privée, ayant été, avec autorité et efficacité, présidente de la Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, puis commissaire à la protection de la vie privée du Canada. À partir de 2014, elle a été coprésidente de plusieurs comités de travail de l’Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques. Elle est membre du conseil d’administration de Génome Québec.
A renowned historian, Jennifer Stoddart distinguished herself by publishing in 1982, under the publishing house Collectif Clio, “L’histoire des femmes au Québec depuis quatre siècles“. Since 2000, she has championed the right to privacy, firstly as President of the Québec Access to Information Commission, followed by an appointment as the Privacy Commissioner of Canada from 2003 to 2013. In 2014, Jennifer Stoddart began to work with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, an international organisation based in Paris, where she headed numerous working groups developing recommendations on health data governance. More recently, she was appointed to the Board of Directors of Génome Québec.
