Cpl Thierry “Rusty” Restoueix, CD (Ret’d)

We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Thierry “Rusty” Restoueix, CD (Ret’d) in Pembroke General Hospital on 23 July 2023, at the age of 63 years.

Rusty served the Canadian Military Engineers as an Operator Special Engineer Equipment. He started his Combat Engineering training in 1979 at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering in Chilliwack BC and spent the majority of his career with our Combat Engineer Regiments. His postings included to  5^e Régiment du génie de combat in Valcartier QC, 2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON, 4 Combat Engineer Regiment in Germany and supporting the British Army Training Suffield (BATUS) unit in Suffield AB.

With more than his share of medical challenges after retirement, Rusty remained busy and positive. Rusty loved working with photography and was very active with local community television.
