We regret to advise of the death of Corporal Aaron Christopher David O'Neill (Ret’d) on 5 November at age 40. Aaron was a former member of 2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON.

Aaron enlisted in the Canadian Forces in 2001 and after completing his basic training as a Refrigeration and Mechanical Technician at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering in Gagetown NB, he was posted to  2 Combat Engineer Regiment in Petawawa ON. Aaron served for six years in the Area Construction Troop of 2 CER including a deployment to Afghanistan. Aaron retired from the Canadian Forces in 2007 as a Journeyman and had recently secured a position with Lead Mechanical in Niagara Falls ON.

Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Pleasantview Funeral Home [2000 Merrittville Highway, Thorold ON] on Saturday, 19 November 2022  from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Celebration of life will be held in the funeral home chapel from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health or Canadian Veterans Services.
